Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces
On Tuesday, September 17 at 9:34pm CDT, we experience the Super Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces. While only a partial lunar eclipse, the energy of the super moon adds a bit of intensity. With the Moon in PIsces, we are called to connect to our intuition and let go of control. The last sign of the Zodiac, Pisces brings extra potency to the theme of endings we typically experience during lunar eclipses.
Eclipses are catalysts for transformation, and often bring about quick changes. This particular eclipse will be felt most strongly by the mutable signs - Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. This is a time to let go of what’s not serving you, and to create new beginnings. We may be completing a chapter, or shifting to a new path. We are called to embrace the uncomfortability that comes with transformation - the eclipse will help you intuitively understand what you need, so be open to it!
The Lunar Nodes are activated by eclipses, and with the Moon forming a conjunction to the North Node, we are invited to challenge ourselves, and to leave the past behind. The Moon will also form a conjunction to Neptune, heightening our perception and allowing us to better tap into our psychic and intuitive gifts. Finally, both the Sun and Moon square Jupiter, the planet of abundance and growth - this offers an opportunity to find a balance between the spiritual and the practical.
During eclipse season, take time for yourself. Don’t push yourself to rush into any decisions. Meditate and journal, taking note of anything that arises, and considering where you’re holding on to old patterns. Remember that aligned decisions come from an intuitive understanding that a change needs to be made.
