Pluto Retrograde Encourages Inner Work
On May 2, Pluto, the planet of power and eruptive change, goes retrograde. This is typically more subtle than other planets’ retrogrades, as Pluto is further from us, spends about half the year retrograde, and moves so slowly.
When Pluto is direct, we feel its effects externally. When Pluto is retrograde, it has a more internal impact.
This retrograde cycle begins in Aquarius, which will draw our focus to examining our communities, our relationships with social media, and anything that feels disempowering to us.
On September 1, Pluto returns to Capricorn for the last time in our lifetime. Until the last several months, Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008, so this will bring a close to a cycle that has likely involved a ton of personal transformation for most of us.
During its month in Capricorn, Pluto will draw our focus to examining our relationships with authority and our careers.
During Pluto Retrograde, we are encouraged to lean into quiet reflection when we feel called to do so. This is a great time for taking a deeper dive into our subconscious.
We are invited to work through any limiting beliefs and to release anything that is contributing to our pain or holding us back.
